Maxwell Street Days: Thrill of the Chase

On Sunday, May 25, people will be rolling out of bed at the crack of dawn, pulling on their clothes, grabbing a quick cup of coffee and heading to Firemen’s Park, just six blocks north of our downtown Cedarburg Inn for the first Maxwell Street Days of the year. Serious bargain hunters will find a parking space and be prowling the grounds before the 600 plus vendors have even finished unloading their vehicles and laying out their wares.

Maxwell Street Days
Cedarburg’s popular flea market has been staged by the Cedarburg Volunteer Fire Department four times a year since 1966. In other words, for nearly 50 years, Maxwell Street Days has been delighting canny shoppers searching for deals and steals in antiques, knick-knacks, fine arts, pottery, fresh produce, sports memorabilia and anything else you can think of. Incidentally, the gates open at 6am, and the other dates for this year are July 13, August 31 and October 5. It’s a Cedarburg tradition!
