First Fridays Music Series at the Cedarburg Cultural Center

First Fridays Music Series :: Cedarburg Cultural Center

The shorter evenings of fall usher in a variety of delights – the leaves on the trees take on vivid autumnal hues of red, orange and gold; the Green Bay Packers rev up Wisconsin fans to new heights of anticipation; and the 2015-2016 First Fridays music series returns to the Cedarburg Cultural Center (CCC), ready to start off the weekend with a flourish.
Beginning Oct. 2, and taking place on the first Friday evening of each month through May of next year, the family-friendly series deliver the feel of a live music festival, highlighting talented groups of musicians playing everything from New Orleans-style jazz, to classic and contemporary rock, to Caribbean island music, to good time country.
Local musicians open the evenings at 6pm and keep the mood lively as people wander out into the night to grab a bite to eat from foods trucks brought in especially for the occasion, or choose something tasty from The Stilt House Restaurant, the series’ “After Party” sponsor, who offers small plates inside the building. At 7pm the lights dim and the party continues on as the main act takes to the stage and entertains for the next couple of hours.
