The Cedarburg, WI 4th of July Parade, which kicks off at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 4th from Firemen’s Park north of the city, is comprised of nearly 100 units. It is colorful, noisy, and a lot of fun, a stellar attraction for the huge crowd of kids, teenagers, parents, and everyone in between. You’ll chuckle and smile when you realize that everyone started setting up their chairs the night before to procure prime viewing spots. Expect rousing music from at least three drum & bugle corps who stay at the high school overnight after performing in the Cedarburg-Grafton Rotary Music Festival. You’ll also hear the music from the Cedarburg Civic Band, Christian bands and individual musicians.
The local Veterans will lead an entourage of decorated floats, prancing horses, antique tractors, fire engines, clowns, and a whole lot more. And as the last float makes its way down Washington Avenue, you’ll see that the Pied Piper is alive and well in Cedarburg as the crowd streams into Cedar Creek Park, where the celebrations continue with a concert by one of the drum and bugle corps.
The Cedarburg Lions will be grilling burgers, brats and hot dogs, serving beer and soft drinks And, don’t forget the spectacular firework display at dusk.
